Impacts on drought, below-normal period rain and farmers' assistance measures

The usable water level in dams throughout the country as of June 30, 2020 is 8,432 million cubic meters (less than in 2019 for 5,541 million cubic meters because of reduction in almost all regions of the country).
The Meteorological Department announced that Thailand has officially entered the rainy season on May 22, 2020, and on June 30, 2020, the Situation Assessment Working Group Meeting No. 8/2020 was been held to monitor weather and water conditions, to terminate the drought situation, to monitor the implementation measures to cope with the situation of the rainy season in 2020, and  to consider the results of determining the flood-prone areas in 2020. However, the drought impacts from 2019 has lower effects in agricultural sector, and the economic situation gradually has  improved.
